Roof restoration and moss treatment in Wishaw

Exterior House Painting in Lanarkshire

Walls, roughcast, render, fascias, doors and windows painted properly – prepped, primed, two coats, tidied up.

What we do

A fresh coat of masonry paint is the fastest way to lift a house, and it’s a job we do a lot of around Motherwell, Hamilton, Wishaw and East Kilbride. The difference between paint that lasts eight years and paint that peels in two is the prep, so that’s where the time goes: the wall is washed, cracks filled, loose paint scraped back, bare patches primed, and then two full coats of a quality masonry paint go on.

We paint roughcast and render, smooth masonry, brick, timber and uPVC fascias and soffits, garage doors, front doors, window frames and garden walls. Customers tell us the same things every time: the quote was quick, we were flexible about starting when the weather was dry, and we left the place tidy. We’ll also point out anything we find – a leaking gutter, a cracked sill – rather than paint over it.

If you’re repainting every few years and it keeps failing, a wall coating may be the better long-term answer. Martin will tell you which suits your wall.

Process

  1. Wash and prep – clean, scrape, fill, prime
  2. Mask and protect – windows, paths, planting
  3. Two coats – brush and roller or spray, depending on surface
  4. Tidy and walk-round

What time of year can you paint outside?

April to October is best. We work around the forecast and won’t paint onto a wet wall.

Five to eight years with proper prep. A wall coating lasts longer if you’d rather not repaint.

Yes, with a uPVC-specific paint – but cleaning often brings it back to white without painting.
